The Property Law/Conveyancing Division at our firm is committed to managing all
aspects related to property and property law in Zimbabwe. Our comprehensive range of
services includes advising on and drafting commercial and residential leases, as well as
overseeing commercial and residential developments, including township establishment and
sectional title developments.
We handle conventional transfers of properties, along with transfers resulting from
liquidations, auctions, court orders, foreclosures, divorces, donations, and deceased
and insolvent estates. Additionally, our team specializes in financial planning and
structuring of share block and time share schemes, as well as financial structuring of
property transactions.
Our expertise extends to managing miscellaneous applications, consents, and endorsements
required in the conveyancing process, as well as negotiating and drafting agreements for
the sale of properties, both residential and commercial. We also provide guidance on
creating and advising on securities, such as mortgages, charges, debentures, and loan
agreements for banks, microfinance institutions, and lending companies, among others.
Furthermore, we offer services related to project and commercial property development
finance, property finance, and registration and cancellation of all types of bonds,
including mortgage, surety, collateral, and notarial bonds. Our team is well-versed in
handling the registration of all types of servitudes and assisting with the subdivision
and consolidation of properties.
In addition to our core services, we have expertise in Property Investment Trusts
(REITs) and Property Funds. While the establishment of REITs in Zimbabwe is relatively
recent, our team includes personnel with skills in investment advisory of REITs. We have
been actively involved in the registration and licensing of REITs and Property Funds
with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe and subsequent listing of the
same.
